You wouldn’t think it seeing him now. After all, Alex stands 6’4” (194 cm) tall. But once upon a time, he was just an infant. And when born in 1973, he was chosen Finland’s Baby of the Year. That achievement led to an early career as a baby model.
Of course, that sort of career has a built-in expiration date. What could Alex do as an encore? For starters, he launched his own graphic design business as a teenage entrepreneur. Then came a degree in international business. And eventually, a career that has taken him to nine cities on two continents so far — driving growth through strategy, innovation, marketing, and change management.
The arc of Alex’s career is bold. It first advanced upward through marketing, where he was recognized in New York as one of the Internationalists of the Year — selected among the world’s top marketers — and managed international brands present in more than 115 countries. In total, he has overseen well over 50 brands worldwide. His focus then broadened into corporate strategy, innovation, and change management, before moving into senior leadership.
Most recently, he has led one of Finland’s most famous sports institutions, a group spanning sports, restaurants, and events, guiding it through organizational restructuring, integration, and profitable growth. Alongside this, he co-founded Solmu, a brewery, restaurant and sauna concept, and launched Brand Warlock, a strategic partner helping sports teams, restaurants, and individuals define their identity and purpose through storytelling.
Along the way, Alex has earned a reputation as a decisive thinker and direct communicator. Recognized for inspired approaches to team building and restructuring, he knows the best way to manage is to lead.
Yet life is more than work. Alex is also a family man. Together with his wife and their three children, he enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. At home, he is equally at ease on the golf course or padel court as he is in the kitchen, where he enjoys cooking and experimenting with new flavors.
Clearly, Alex’s encore career as a corporate leader is surpassing his first as a baby model. But that should surprise no one who knows his full name: Odd Alexander Sneen.
“Odd” may seem unusual to some, but it is an Old Norse name with a long tradition. And it fits. A rugged individualist, he’s no ordinary fellow.
